PurposeNotes
PurposeNotes is a local-first notes app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your notes, tasks, goals, and purposes are stored in a database on your device. There are no accounts and no PurposeNotes servers.
What it does
- Meaning-first structure. Connect notes to the purposes and goals they serve with supertags and a graph view.
- Private by design. No analytics, no tracking, no data collection. See the privacy policy.
- Optional iCloud sync. Sync across your devices through your own iCloud account. Payloads are end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload.
- On-device AI. AI features run on your device. Cloud AI is off by default and asks for confirmation per action; every access is recorded in the on-device AI Access Log.
- Import and export. Import from Apple Notes or Obsidian. Export everything as plain Markdown at any time.
